We hope everyone is having a happy July! Now that the music camp is over, we are just beginning to get back into our regular routine. This month's Picture of the Month is Richard playing duets with Eric Grossman. For those who don't know, we have hired Eric for the past three years to coach and perform at our retreat. (His bio is on our Mountains & Strings web site.) He brought his family the first year he came, and they loved it so much that they have come every year since. We have really grown to love the Grossman family, and as you look through the Music Retreat link on this site, you will see more of them. After the retreat, they spent a few days in West Yellowstone and then stopped at our house for one last evening together. One of Richard's favorite things to do is play his violin, and what a wonderful opportunity it is to play with a real professional! In this picture, Richard is playing his viola and Eric is playing on my violin. (My violin has never sounded so good!) They traded instruments and played both violin/viola duets and violin duets. Can't beat a concert in your own living room!

Your post about music camp almost made me cry! I am suddenly feeling old and out of it. I hardly even recognized any of the kids there so my remedy... I have got to come back soon. :) Looks like you guys had a blast and that everything turned out great. I sure miss it.
Your kids are darling. Payton and James should get together and have an ant party. Payt will stop whatever we're doing just to point out every ant that exists and tell me how exciting each one of them is. July is almost over so Happy August!!!
