Richard's viola student, Esther Hopkin, had a senior recital in which she and Richard played a couple duets. This one is called Passacaglia by Handel, arranged for violin and viola by Halvorsen. Richard fell in love with this piece when he first saw the Star Trek episode where Data and his "mother" play it together. When Richard's students can play this piece well, he feels he can send them to college. I was glad I was able to go and get a recording of it. The other duet they played was the 3rd movmt. of Symphonie Concertante by Mozart. Both duets were awesome and big hits at the recital. (I love showing off my husband!)
